I came across this post and video on Boing Boing about the condition called synaesthesia. I’ve been fascinated by synaesthesia for a long time. In fact, one of my characters has it in the novel I’m writing. For him language evokes colors and sometimes other visual or aural sensations. It is difficult for me to fully understand what a synaesthete experiences, so videos such as these are a big help.
